Quality Control of Non-Automated Parts Assembly

As a final project for Computer Vision course, me and Aaron Nye developed a quality control system of non-automated parts assembling system. The idea is, our system is able to tell the user whether the parts have been assembled or located correctly during production process in a factory.

For demonstration, we implemented our system using colored building blocks. Users will have to choose what kind of assemblies they would like to make, and our system will detect its position and tell whether the blocks have been placed or oriented correctly.

We developed this system using Matlab and WebCamera. Our computer vision including: Color and edge detection.
